By Dixi out of Highmoor Royal Dawn.
She was bred by Ken Horner from the Highmoor Stud, Harrogate.
Her line goes back to some very successful show jumpers such as Channel Five and Sanyo Video, (Highmoor Summertime)
Her Grand sire Llannarth Rhun brings the bit of Welsh Cob cleverness in that has shone through in the temperament of her line.
Annie is one of our founder mares having bred one of our stallions, Archie, (Away With The Faeries) in 2003 after retiring from competition after a high overreach that damaged her tendons.
Annie has bred three further foals with us and will be going to Brendon Hill Symphony in 2012.
Babe is a Thoroughbred X Trakehner by ‘Fleet Water Vital Times’ and out of a thoroughbred mare called ‘Off Piste Sally’ she goes back to the American horse ‘Comedy Star’ .
Babe is due her first foal in 2012 and we will be interested to see if the proven temperament form Archie comes through.
Is a fine example of the best of the Irish Draught breeding. She is by the great Grade A jumping stallion ‘Huntingfield Rebel’ and out of ‘Creehaun Lady’ who goes straight back to the very famous ‘King Of Diamonds’ who was ranked 7th in the world rankings of sires of show jumpers and Kildalton Countess who was probably one of the most influential mares in producing Irish Draught Sports Horses.
Ellie will foal her first foal in 2012 to ‘Away With The Faeries’ We have great expectations for this one.
Is a proven competition horse in her own right having evented to a high standard having done many events including Chepstow and Osberton International and Aske hall at intermediate level and having been ridden by Jeanette Brakewell as a younger horse, She was ridden by Holly Bradshaw at Llanymynech JRN.
Her sire is ‘Petong’ who is by ‘Mansingh’ (USA) and was out of a race mare called Ballyannagh who ran in the late 80’s with some success, She was by Bally Q who was by Laughton Heath.
Gem is a small mare with plenty of bottle; she has bred two foals to ‘Away With The Faeries’ and is in foal to foal to him again in 2102. We will put her to ‘Brendon Hill Symphony’ this year.
Was bought from Amanda Howard in Nottingham and although I believe she has been a tremendous hunter, she has not had the opportunity to experience a competition career.
Jazz has some spectacular bloodlines being by ‘Welton Ambassador’ and out of a ‘Welton Apollo’ mare. Also on both the sire and dam sides the mare lines go back also to the great ‘Ben Faerie’ and ‘State Diplomacy’
Jazz seems to know that her pedigree is special and puts her some way up the pecking order, she is a great mum and very protective of her foals.
Kat (Mossikat) is a thoroughbred mare that has raced in her own right, she is by the Irish horse ‘I’m Supposin’ whose lines go back to Northern Dancer and Nearco and she is out of a mare called ‘G I Moss’ who successfully raced as well.
G I Moss is by ‘Le Moss’ who won many high profile races in the 80’s including the Gold Cup in 79 and 80 ridden by Lester Piggot and Jo Mercer.
Kat was bought infoal to Free Spirit and foaled a chestnut filly she is in foal to ‘Away With The Faeries’ to foal in 2012.
Lucyhad a promising eventing career that was cut short after an unfortunate accident in a trailer where she damaged a hind fetlock. She has proven an exceptional broodmare having had three fillies and a colt and is due to foal again in 2012.
Her foals all have substance with plenty of bone and good movement.
Is a good strong Irish sport horse, she is by Frankfort Boy and out of a mare called Irish Velvet, this mare is by Ozymandias who bred some of Irelands best exported showjumpers such as Heatwave (Tabac Original) who was ridden by David Broome and not forgetting the great Ryans Son ridden by John Whitaker.
Irish Velvet and Irish Champagne were both very influential mares in the main Irish studbook.
Molly has bred a lovely rangy filly by Away With The Faeries and is in foal again to foal in 2012.
Stormis by Java Tiger out of a strong Irish hunt mare Charleston Tara. Storm has had a extensive competition career having evented at intermediate level and qualified for Bramham 2000, she was also my lead team chase horse who completed the Goring National Team Chase Finals at the Ferney at a record time, if only our third place team member kept up.
Storm was an accomplished cross country horse and she also excelled indoor show jumping over the winter, her only fault was that her temperament was a little highly strung for the dressage, this is what let her down.
Storm has bred one foal by Hot Rumour and three by Away With The Faeries, she is also due to foal in 2012, her foals by Archie have good bone and frame and a far improved temperament than their dam, we have great expectations of these youngsters. Her first foal, Ayston’s Rumour is eventing successfully in the borders and loving the hunting up there.
